Do Not Sell Yourself Short!

Most of the time, I write posts about myself. But, this post will be slightly different. This post will be about you!

I want to encourage you to take a good, hard look at your personal finances…

No, seriously, take a good… hard… look…

Scared, afraid, excited, joyful, worried, exhilarated, exhausted, confused..?

Two years ago, I began a personal journey to change my relationship with money. I made a choice to focus on myself, my family, my finances and my future.

Guess what? YOUR future, your better, brighter, wealthier, more peaceful, more enlightened, more exciting FUTURE is right in front of you. That big pile of bills sitting on your desk, that mountain of credit card debt, that jumbled up investment portfolio, that bankruptcy… THAT is your PAST. Today, you can CHOOSE to “begin again”.

I do not give financial advice, but I will (try) to give you some “life” advice. CHOOSE to TAKE CONTROL!

You are awesome, you are important, you matter, you ROCK! Seriously, I don’t “know” you, but I “know” you. (If you are reading a website about debt reduction and saving money, I KNOW YOU!) I know that all of our “journeys” take different paths. I know that some of you are deeply in debt, some of you are debt-free, and most of you are somewhere “in between” these two extremes.

Clearly, I cannot “make the change” for you. But, if this blog “means” anything to you, if my voice “matters”, please, please listen. I know the FREEDOM of living without debt, I know the FREEDOM of living with an emergency fund, I know the FREEDOM of being in control of my finances.

I am amazed when I look back at where I was and where I’ve been and look forward to where I am going. I readily admit that I have MORE to learn, MORE to understand, and MORE work to do, but I am choosing to be DIFFERENT.

CHOOSE TO BE DIFFERENT!

CHOOSE TO BE DIFFERENT!

Stand in the midst of the current of life, feeling the masses pass you by, multitudes at your right and your left, and choose to move… chose to move against the current, to move past the masses, to feel the exhilaration of being different…

You rock!

Do

Not

Sell

Yourself

Short

(This post was inspired by a conversation that I had with a good friend. He is discouraged about his financial future and he cannot imagine a day when he will be financially secure…)

Your attiutude is what I admire most about your writing and success.

The big problem in life is that we often focus on the symptoms of our problems without actually questioning and adjusting our attitudes, beliefs and values. You have focused on adjusting your attitude and the amazing positive changes are the result.

    YOU ROCK !!!
( I still think the saying is dorky)
