Baby Number Three Arrived Safe And Sound

Baby number three – a little girl – was born Sunday Morning around 10AM. She weighs 8 pounds and she is beautiful beyond words. Mommy is doing fine and we should be going home early Tuesday morning. I stole a few minutes and found some free Wi-Fi so that I could share our wonderful news with my readers.

Big sister and big brother are fascinated with little sister, and they’ve taken turns holding the baby and kissing the baby and loving the baby and talking about the baby. My wife is resting, back at the hospital, and I’m out getting gas for the trip home and purchasing the one thing we forgot – a baby monitor! (of all things?!?)

I’ll have much more to write about when we get home, but for now –

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvelous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, [and] curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all [my members] were written, [which] in continuance were fashioned, when [as yet there was] none of them.
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
[If] I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

I would like to thank all of you for your prayers and well wishes.  My wife is doing great and we are so ready to get home and enjoy our ‘completed’ family.

New babies ROCK!!!

  1. Big congrats, NCN! 🙂 I was just wondering if that baby was ready to come out yet this morning! So glad to hear it went smoothly and your wife is resting and well also.

  2. Congratulations!!!! It seems like it was yesterday, but we added baby #2 about 9 months ago and I remember the wonderful feeling and smells of newborn baby in the house. Just in time to be a write off? 🙂

  3. That is so awesome! Yay for babies! 😀 I’m swooning all over. The way you write about it makes me excited for you, but I’ll never be as excited and happy as you are 😉 Congratulations!

  4. Congratultations! There is absolutely no better feeling in the world than hearing a newborns first cry.

  5. Congratulations! That is wonderful news. I truly believe the best gift you can give your kids is a sibling. Although one financial adviser we consulted referred to our kids as “speed bumps” on the road to financial freedom, I disagree. Our kids have motivated us to earn more, save more and spend wisely. Best wishes for plenty of sleep! 😉

  6. My best to you! I’m very happy for you. My husband and I welcomed our first child, a son, into our lives back in November, and it’s still a thrill to see this little guy grow and become a wonderful person. Babies do indeed rock! You are blessed…see, no money in the world can even come close to rivaling the joy a baby brings.

  7. Ah, Children! If only I were young again–and if only they didn’t come with 2:00 a.m. feedings, dirty diapers and college expenses!

Congrats and I’m glad both mom and baby are healthy.

  8. Whew Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!!!! So glad everyone is safe and sound!!! GREAT JOB DADDY-O!!!

  9. Congrats on the new addition to the family! The youngest of our 3 will be three in June. Enjoy that time with your little baby, and take the opportunity to have some fun one-on-one time with the big siblings too! That was a true saving grace with us. All the best to you and your family!

  10. Congratulations! I’m sitting here smiling thinking about all the excitement and happiness a new baby brings into the family.
