I purchased a Lenovo about 6 months ago and I have to agree with you, it is great! Give us an update on how the repair finishes up. I would like to know how the experience went in case I ever need to send mine in.

I bought a laptop from Staples and their repair service was atrocious.
I’d have to wait up to 3 weeks and they would lie about the status of it.
The last straw was the $40 diagnostic fee (my laptop was still under warranty) that they started charging – if the repair was indeed equipment related, they would return the fee.

I used Webroot to back up online my Desktop & Computer as well as C & D drives. What other things need to be backed up? What method would you recommend?

I’ll be doing some of that backup fun this week as my work computer is headed for the scrap bin and I’ll be getting an upgrade. Nice to get an upgrade, but a bit of a pain to have to back everything up, get programs reinstalled, etc. Hopefully you won’t have to do any of that..

I had to chuckle when I read your post. You sound like a seasoned IT professional. Never trust someone with your data. And definitely plan for the worst!! I’m sure it will come back just fine, but you never know.

You definitely sound like your information is safe. We recently had our hard drive crash and learned why backups are important. After replacing the hard drive (it was under warranty), we bought an external hard drive. Now to use it…
