Thanks, everyone, for your words of encouragement and congratulations. NCN really has given me the confidence to know that I can handle my money and finances. At almost 30 years old, I feel like I finally have a grip on my bank account. Stay tuned to my HouseDownPayment chart to see my savings really grow! :)

I was touched after reading the email. I felt the same although I'm still struggling to achieve the same. Hopefully looking forward to putting an end to this never ending credit blues. This really add to my inspiration reads.

Congrats Val, now give it a few years and start buying up houses when the prices drop to next to nothing and banks are happy to start lending out again.

Congratualtions Valerie, I am so ready for that feeling (and congratualtions, No Credit Needed - must feel great to receive an email of such good news and praise like that). I think I'd like to try and cast blame on the economy for my recent (credit card) debt accumulation but, regardless, I need to man-up and make some changes with regards to my spending as well as my SAVING.

I am glad to have found this site, looks like filled with informaiton just right for my current situation. I skimmed over the debt deduction 101 and will certianly have to take the time to fill it out and get a better hold on my finances. I also started using mint.com. It seems like it can be useful. What do you guys think of it?

Congratulations, Valerie!!

I paid off almost $5,000 in credit card debt last year, and I can honestly say that I couldn't have done it without the wonderful PF bloggers like NCN, GetRichSlowly, and others. Now I have $56K in student loan debt staring me in the face, and when I get out of school (for the third time!) in mid 2010, that will be my next challenge. Now I'm focusing on paying for tuition, fees and books in cash and adding to my savings account (which will help next year when I'm forced to go to part time status at my job).

To the person who owes $150,000----you can do it! It just takes organization, a plan, and encouragement, which you'll find in droves on this and other blogs! Once you begin seeing your debt decrease, it will become almost like an addiction---but a healthy one! Best of luck to you!

That is great to hear! When I paid off my debt in August, seeing my NCN chart was totally awesome. Now I'm nearing my savings goal, and it's really quite exciting too!
I also love coming on here and seeing updates from names I recognize. Way cool. Thanks NCN!

I would do anything to say I had just paid off the last of my debt! I am starting off at 150,000 and feel like I will never get there...(And what's sad is that doesn't include a mortgage-my house is actually paid off.) I know that there has to be hope--sometimes it's just hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but it's nice to know that some people can achieve their goals!

Congratulations to Valerie. It is very important to celebrate others success. It is equally important to support those who are still working diligently to be free from the debt. The No Credit Needed Network is a fantastic tool and support community for this.

Thank you for the inspiration.
