Well written series NCN, very well done. I've been struggling to pay off my debt for the last couple of years, and have just made a decision to rededicate myself to the repayment this 2009, and enjoyed reading through your posts. While I already know most of what you talk about, I like how you put it all together in an easy-to-read series, with good examples and links. Well done!

You have an awesome complete guide on debt reduction. Debt reduction can be very tedious at first, but once a debtor gets started with the step by step process, he will find it beneficial and not hard at all. However, the debtor must take control of himself not to use the credit cards until he have paid them all off. One thing to add, to avoid adding your debts, do not overspend. Spend within your means and not beyond it. And as much as possible, do not credit cards all the time. You may find it convenient but the interest can be a big pain once you started to not pay it in a month. Be frugal and do not envy over the new things your neighbors possess. Nevertheless, once already in debt, you may find debt consolidation loans or debt settlements helpful for you to slowly pay all your debts off. Just be very responsible and heedful in choosing the right company to work with as there are frauds who pretend to be the best but in fact, they are really not doing their work as agreed.

thanks for including this information! i'm a fan of Mr. Ramsey and am waiting for the library book to become available. we're on the right track and scheduled to achieve BS-2 in july of '09. it sure helps to be able to read other people's comments and blogs about this stuff. my husband is a wonderful support. but i feel like everyone else that i know just does not understand this way of thinking.

i truly believe that when it comes down to it, you can do anything if you set your mind to it. and what better way to show it than with your finances?
