Here is a list of the resources, tools, books and websites that I use to manage my personal finances. (Affiliates noted.)
Budgeting Software:
For more than a year and a half, I have been using the You Need A Budget software. YNAB has been a sponsor of No Credit Needed for many, many months, and I cannot overstate how pleased I am with this product.
Financial Calculators:
If I ever need to crunch some numbers, I always head over to Dinkytown.
Portfolio Tracking Websites:
I track my education savings account, retirement, and brokerage accounts using Google Finance’s Portfolio feature.
Shopping Rewards:
I use Upromise (affiliate) to earn rewards for grocery, online, and catalog purchases. Upromise is designed to help you save money for college, but, you can elect to have the rewards that you earn sent DIRECTLY to you! (Read this post to find out how to get Upromise to send you a check!) Upromise is absolutely free, allowing you to earn bonuses at grocery stores, online retailers, restaurants, etc.
Personal Finance Books:
I really, really love anything written by Dave Ramsey:
The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness
The Total Money Makeover Workbook
Financial Peace Revisited
The Financial Peace Planner: A step-by step guide to restoring your family’s financial health
The Money Answer Book: Quick Answers to Everyday Financial Questions (Affiliate Links)
Personal Finance Blogs:
If you are new to the world of personal finance blogs, may I suggest you check out PFBLOGS.ORG, where you can find headlines from around the personal finance blogging community.
Personal Finance Carnivals:
If you are interested in a weekly rap-up of the best that the personal finance blogging community has to offer, may I suggest that you visit the:
Carnival of Personal Finance
Carnival of Debt Reduction
Festival of Frugality
Online Savings Accounts:
I use The ING Direct Orange Savings Account. for my online savings account. I have never had a problem with ING, their rates are competitive, and the interface is easy-to-use.
This page is updated regularly to reflect the resources that I am currently using, enjoying, promoting, or talking about on the blog.
