I recently received an AWESOME email from one of my readers. “Newsgirly” from Seeking Serendipity sent me this email and I asked her if I could share it with you:
Hi NCN,
I just wanted to take a moment and personally thank you for all the time and thought you put into your excellent blog. It has served as a wonderful inspiration for me. This week I made the final payment capping off more than $24,000 in credit card debt in about 18 months.
When I started, I was single and living alone, with two cars, a tenant in the main house and tenants in the basement apartment. I’m now married with a surprising but wonderful baby and also have my brother living in the basement. My husband and I have also paid off two cars at about $8,000, and $8,000 more in day care. We are contributing to our own retirements and a 529 for our daughter. We don’t make a lot of money, but every dime we get that’s unexpected goes to debt or savings. I think this, and choosing to spend wisely, is the secret to building wealth, slowly.
I turned to your blog and a handful of others on a daily basis; many more I read through occasionally. I especially like yours because you are so dang funny and upbeat about your life and very honest about your dilemmas. When I’m frustrated, I read NCN – starting with the original blog and now the network, etc. It always makes me feel like I will get there, and not to give up.
