That is inspirational. But I have to admit, it always puzzles me when I see such dramatic turnarounds in a relatively short time. It just makes me wonder "Why aren't I doing that?"

In my eyes, you should "toot your own horn". I think we work hard and go through struggles that build us. They make us stronger, smarter and more able to help the world. You, my friend, have moved from the follower to the lead (well, behind God) and by sharing your acheivements you inspire and provoke great things from everyone.

This may be just the thing needed to save another from the grasps of debt!

Congratulations, I'm coming right behind you!

Congrats!! that's a great improvement. It's a funny thing once you hit bottom and evaluate what is important to you. You are among a fortunate few who saw you reached a bottom, wanted something better, did something about, and realized the goal(s).

The more I read these blogs and write in mine, the more I see the similarities with being in debt to having any other addiction. Recovering is a lifetime process and it all starts with admitting that you have a problem. The nice thing about writing a PF blog is that instead of spending money, you write about it. I'm sure it is just transferrence of a compulsion, but at least it is better than being in debt.

Hopefully, 2007 will be much better on the savings front for you, but I would NEVER feel that you could have done better. Bottom line is that you attained your goal. It doesn't matter how you got there. Success is success.
