If you have an ING Direct Savings account, check your email. Your 2006 tax documents should be ready. From the ING Direct website:
| You get a 1099 if you are… |
| The primary owner of one or more deposit account(s) that earned in total more than $10 in interest in 2006. For example, a deposit account could be an Orange Savings Account or an Orange CD. |
|
and/or |
| The primary account holder of one or more 6, 9 or 12 month Orange CD(s) that matured during the year and earned in total more than $10 in interest during 2006. |
|
and/or |
| The primary holder of one or more multi-year Orange CD(s) held for more than 12 months and the total interest earned during 2006 is more than $10. |
Log-in to your account, and check the top right-hand side of the page. There’s a link to your tax documents. You can download and print.

Do you know….my kids have ING accounts. They are listed as primary, and I’m listed as secondary. Do I have to claim their interest? Or do they have to file somehow? They are 10 and 12.
Karen… I’ve found a few resources dealing with this issue. I’ll write a post, so everyone can see. Check the site after about 10:20 Easter Time Thursday. Thanks, NCN
